Aaron Douglas

Aaron originally hails from the West Midlands. Born in Birmingham and based in London. He is a working-class, Global Majority, queer artist; half English, quarter Caribbean and a quarter Scottish.

He trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Currently a board member of represent. Theatre, a new theatre company for actors from diverse and lower socio-economic backgrounds and particularly passionate about writing that represents marginalised and underrepresented voices. With stories that put those experiences and stories at the forefront, and that champion more equality, diversity, and working-class talent in the arts.

As a writer, his short plays have been performed at Criterion Theatre, Theatre503, Arcola Theatre, The Vaults and Ambassadors Theatre. His work has been longlisted for the Papatango Prize, Bruntwood Prize and BOLD Playwright Scheme; as well as being shortlisted for Pleasance Theatre, and Traverse Theatre.

He is a commissioned and published playwright through James Graham’s Sketching and been commissioned by Birmingham REP. Recent commissions include new writing for an anthology of monologues published by Rikki Beadle-Blair’s Team Angelica showcasing diverse voices.

Matt is the Senior Producer for Access All Areas

​

He has previously worked as Producer for Paines Plough, as General Manager for the Young Vic, and as New Work Associate at The Bunker.

​

Matt has also been a freelance producer with a focus on new writing. He's produced work at the Royal Court, Young Vic, Kiln Theatre, Bush Theatre, Soho Theatre, Paines Plough's Roundabout and Tara Theatre.


He enjoys nothing more than sitting down with Nick, reading thousands of plays, and seeing which writers we can support next.

Nick Oliver

Nick is an actor and writer and trained at Drama Studio London.

​

He has performed in and written plays productions at Jermyn Street Theatre, The Vaults and Arcola. He's also been in some commercials, an episode of Doctors, and works in ticketing for his day job.

​

His passions include Arsenal, listening to podcasts on the bus, and, of course, hanging out with Matt and discussing plays.
